MoveTalk 03 - The SUI Move

MoveTalk is the monthly technical event series held by Web3Lab and its partners which focuses on the Move programming language and blockchains based on Move.
The MoveTalk #03 was held on 18th Feb, 2023 by Web3Lab and SuiGlobal with the participants of SuiFoundation as the special guests. The main topics of this event were the Sui Move, Sui network and Sui ecosystem.
There were ~70 participants and most of them were the developers, technicians or builders of blockchain/web3 companies such as Kyber Network, LCademy, Sotatek, BeLauch, TrustKey, Pando Infinity … Some students from Hanoi universities also attended.

At the event, Mr. Aaron - CTO of Web3Lab shared the general concepts of Sui Move, Sui network, the development tool, how to build Dapp on Sui and showed the demo on the Dex pool which included the contract creation, adding liquidity and swapping a token pair.

Mr. Henry Duong - APAC Developer Relationship from SuiFoundation shared more about the Non-fungible token, the design pattern and the demo on non-fungible token.

Mr. Hassiron, Community Manager from SuiFoundation shared more about the grant program from Sui Foundation and advice for the developers, builders.

Ms. Julie, The APAC representative of SuiGlobal shared many useful information from SuiGlobal - the biggest community on the Sui at this moment and how SuiGlobal supports builders on Sui. She also told a little bit about the Nitro program which could officially launch in the next few days.

At the end of the event, representatives of  BeLaunch (the Launchpad on Sui) and LCademy (the blockchain resource provider) shared their product and services, the thought of building on Sui and desired to connect with all the builders.

Although the event only lasted for 3 hours, a lot of information and knowledge was shared. Developers and builders have connected with each other and promised to build interesting things on Sui.
